Soy Sauce Flavored Kit Kat

…going on limited sale in Tokyo from the middle of March, “Nestle KitKat soy sauce flavor”…It is said that the scent of soy sauce will drift faintly if a bag is opened, a scent matches the sweetness of chocolate… the “soy sauce flavor” can enjoy unexpected delicacy…

Just…no. Do Japanese people even want to eat this? What person is so damn enthusiastic about soy sauce that they need even their candy to taste and smell like it? What’s the demographic here? No, Japan, no.

  1. The Japanese have a totally different set of taste buds to me.

I used to live with a Japanese girlfriend and the lunches she made for me were always a surprise of unusual flavour combinations.

I particularly remember the banana and hot mustard sandwiches.

I was engaged to a half Japanese girl and yeah…their food is weird. That and she was weird, in a WHOLE lot of ways. But anyway, I love me some mochi!
